Happy Out x Together Academy is a café at 1 Custom House Quay in Dublin’s Docklands, bringing Happy Out’s casual café format to the north side of the city centre. The café is a collaboration between Happy Out and Together Academy, a social enterprise providing training, work experience and employment opportunities for young adults with Down syndrome. The partnership places inclusion and supported employment at the heart of the café, with Together Academy graduates working alongside the Happy Out team.
The food follows Happy Out’s familiar daytime style, with a menu built around breakfast, coffee and casual lunch dishes. Current offerings include breakfast bowls with overnight oats, porridge or granola, a breakfast bap with egg and bacon, and avocado toast with poached eggs and achiote aioli. There are also more substantial options such as a white bean hummus bowl with hot chicken, mixed leaves and confit tomatoes, alongside burrata with pesto, tomato, rocket and Parma ham.
The café also offers smaller plates and sides, including roast potato cubes, sausage rolls, white bean hummus and salads, while Happy Out’s coffee remains central to the offering. The menu includes vegetarian options, with vegan choices available through dishes such as porridge, overnight oats and plant-based milk for coffee.
The Docklands location sits along Dublin’s historic quays, in the IFSC, making it particularly convenient for workers and visitors in the surrounding business district. Its daytime opening hours suit breakfast meetings, coffee stops and casual lunches, while the relaxed café format reflects Happy Out’s wider approach to informal dining.
