About

Hawksmoor Dublin is the beloved British restaurant group's 13th site worldwide, bringing it's award-winning steaks and hearty British cooking, at long last, to the Irish capital. Hawksmoor founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott had long wished to open in Dublin and in 2023 they finally realised the dream, moving into a stupendous, former National Bank building on College Green.

Hawksmoor Dublin's interiors are typical of the group's artistic vision and also do justice to the building's majesterial history. The ceiling stretches high above your head, all the way up to the original cast iron dome designed by architect William Barnes in the mid-1840s. At ground level, the restaurant is peak steakhouse chic - polished timber, elegant parquet floors, forest green leather banquets and brass accents.

The restaurant also hides a number of rooms, each named after specific cattle found in Dexter and Kerry cow herd books dating over a hundred years. This includes 'None the Wiser' - Hawksmoor Dublin's 18-seater private dining room, which is set away from the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant, providing a secluded spot for private dining occasions and celebrations. The decor matches the main themes - dark, polished timber and wood-panelling, but you'll also find old cattle photographs and memorabilia on the walls, as well as a list of old Dexter and Kerry herd champions.

Most know what to expect on the food front - Hawksmoor has become world-famous for meat and steak cooking, in fact, the group was voted the World's Best Steak Restaurant in 2022. Hawksmoor offers a variety of set menus at different price points for groups, and each has a range of choice that takes in some of the restaurant's best-loved dishes, from prime steaks to top-quality seafood and vegetarian alternatives. You can also expect to eat lots of Irish produce at Hawksmoor Ireland - all the beef is sourced from Irish small holding farms, and lots of the fish and seafood also comes from Irish waters.

Add Hawksmoor's always-brilliant cocktail offering and a knockout wine list and Hawksmoor Dublin promises to be one of the city's most popular private dining venues.

FAQs

Does Hawksmoor Dublin have a dress code?

While there's no formal requirement, the restaurant's grand setting inside the former Old National Bank on College Green does lend itself to smart-casual attire, particularly if you're celebrating an occasion or on a date. That said, comfort comes first, and casual dress is just as welcome.
