Perched at the edge of the River Lee in Cork, The River Club Bar, Terrace & Grill Room is an all-day dining destination perfect for intimate date nights, lively brunches and everything in between. Head to the New York themed bar and Mediterranean terrace for brunch, lunch and cocktails, to soak up the elegant yet relaxed ambience. During summer, the terrace features sunny river views, a retractable roof and a flurry of greenery and flowers, before transforming into a cosy oasis lit by fairy lights and candles in the colder months. Dinner is served in the Grill Room, a sophisticated space with sapphire walls and brass furnishings, providing a sophisticated location for celebratory dinners or catch-ups with friends and family.
Celebrating the best of Cork’s produce, the menus change seasonally and primarily feature modern British cuisine with a touch of international influence. For brunch and lunch, expect classic favourites like eggs benedict and baked shakshuka, with light lunch options like Caesar salad, endive and blue cheese salad as well as heartier mains.
The Grill Room's a la carte dinner menu features starters such as harissa gambas pil pil, chicken karaage with house kimchi, and a half-dozen Ballycotton oysters with shallot relish sourced from the local fish market. For your main course, there are several steaks off the grill like sirloin, rib-eye or a tomahawk to share or stick to the main section for fish and vegetarian plates. If you’ll be visiting on a Sunday, make the most of the sharing board for two followed by a large portion of traditional meats, like rack and shoulder of Quigley’s lamb with shallot and thyme stuffing served with all the trimmings.
The global wine list has plenty of options available by the glass, as well as a cellar section curated by the sommelier showcasing bottles from prized vineyards and celebrated winemakers. There are also signature cocktails, Irish gin and tonics, and low to no-alcohol options if preferred.
