Located on Main Street in Kinsale, Bastion is a family-run restaurant in Cork. Head Chef Paul McDonald and his wife Helen McDonald own this charming Irish eatery and their aim is to create an Irish menu that uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The principal ingredients in each dish are all of Irish origin to keep the menu tasty and authentic. To align with this ethos, the menus change seasonally to tie in with the produce available from local farms.
The eight-course tasting menu is the highlight of the restaurant, the dishes are ever-changing but our current favourites include the salt baked beetroot ricotta served with a hazelnut dressing, carrot crumble with a velvet cloud yoghurt and a passion fruit pudding alongside aerated chocolate and blueberry.
