The Rusty Oven was established in 2013 when we pulled our wee trailer into Patsy’s yard. A pop up garden party making pizzas under the stars when ‘pub cat’ was our best customer & more whiskey was drank than pizzas were sold. Wine coolers were Noreen Devine’s saucepans & customers ate in the leaky old cow shed.
Every year the rusty oven has evolved with the same loyal customers and… fire starting, wave surfing, junk collecting, horse-riding, boat sailing, ball kicking, shovel wielding, sculpture making, pint swilling, pepper chopping, hand-building, disco dancing, spear fishing, wall painting, restaurant building, dough mixing, master baking… Artists putting in the required time & love to bring sourdough to your table!
