Located in Monkstown, this French fine dining restaurant is a great little find. Named after Henri Cartier Bresson, the French humanist photographer considered a master of candid photography, the restaurant is all about great food with excellent wines to match, and warm, professional service.
As well as a cosy restaurant downstairs, Bresson boasts a comfortable private dining room upstairs. Suitable for all kinds of private events, from meetings and client dinners to birthday parties and special occasion dining, the room can accommodate up to 35 guests on multiple tables or up to 20 around a single table. Reception style events for to 50 guests are also a possibility.
The private dining room at Bresson is naturally quiet and, as it is separate from the main dining room, it is also discreet. Facilities include an on-floor cloakroom, ladies and gents toilets and a full bar. The room is comfortably appointed with upholstered furniture, white table linen, fine flatware and low lighting. The cool and sophisticated ambience makes it an impressive destination for formal or informal entertaining, so no matter what the occasion, hosting an event here promises to leave lasting memories.
Menus can be tailored to suit your budget and the nature of your event, but the kind of dishes you and your party can look forward to include starters such as crab crème brûlée with pickled cucumber, dill and toast; and French onion soup with Gruyère cheese and croutons. Mains include a range of French classics such as duck a l’orange, poulet a la Normande, and steak frites with béarnaise and red wine jus, while desserts might include a traditional crème brûlée or dark chocolate fondant.
Paired wines can be arranged from a wine list which runs to over 100 bins and includes great value and grand crus, or you can choose a few bottles for yourself. Whatever your event, you will be well looked after at Bresson.
